WHY IS IT NEEDED?

 

The plague of a venomous disease has now established itself within the American Republic.  This disease is pornography.   It has given birth to a “Goliath of Hedonism” that is destroying the youth of America.  Many who are sick with this disease lead two lives: one life is in the light, and one is in the dark.  But light and darkness cannot exist in the same place at the same time.  Ultimately the darkness prevails.   When the darkness has overpowered the light the following symptoms appear:

 

THE SYMPTOMS OF THE DARKNESS

 

1.  EACH WEEK NEARLY 6,000 CASES OF SEXUAL ABUSE OF A CHILD ARE REPORT TO LAW ENFORCEMENT AGENCIES.

 

2.  In 2003 nearly 11,000 “hard core” pornographic motion pictures were produced and distributed in the United States.

 

3.  A huge increase in every category of sexual abuse and assault.

 

4.  A pandemic of youth unwed pregnancy, suicide, and sexually transmitted diseases.

 

THE MISSION OF THE LIGHTED CANDLE SOCIETY

 

The LIGHTED CANDLE SOCIETY was created to provide leadership in defeating the “Goliath of Hedonism.”  Just as David of the Old Testament used “five smooth stones” as his weapons of choice to defeat the Goliath he faced, the LIGHTED CANDLE SOCIETY gives to its members “five smooth stones” by which they can destroy the Goliath of perversion and death that has arisen out of the darkness of pornography.

LIGHT A CANDLE EACH MONTH

 

To participate in the “LIGHT A CANDLE” program simply fill out the card that is at your table.  By so doing you commit $10.00 per month to the work of the LIGHTED CANDLE SOCIETY.  Your $10.00 will be used to finance the costs associated with our action programs.

 

 

PARTICIPATE IN AN “ACTION” PROGRAM

 

The current ”ACTION” programs of the LIGHTED CANDLE SOCIETY are listed on our web site and include:

 

1   Financing of the Reisman “Brain/Body” research project.

2.  Financing the legal defense of the “Clean Flicks” defendants

3.  Filing civil actions in state and federal courts to remove the hard core pornography from television, cable, satellite, and broadcast.

4.  Filing civil actions in state courts to require libraries to use filters on their public access computers.

5.  Persuading advertisers to cease supporting television channels  that are pandering pornographic music and conduct to teenagers.

 

 

 

TO BE A “GUARDIAN” OF THE LIGHT

 

Volunteer to actively participate with others in your community to distribute materials that are made available by the LIGHTED CANDLE SOCIETY regarding the danger and the sources of pornography.  Be willing to monitor and strive to remove any source of pornographic materials that may appear.   This would include working with elected city and county officials, law enforcement officers, local newspapers and merchants, school officials and civic and religious groups whose united efforts can become a powerful weapon in preserving the light of moral virtue in your community.

HEAL THE SICK

 

Many who have become addicted to pornography desperately want to be “healed.”   Because of shame and fear they do not know where to find help.  There are many worthwhile programs that can “heal” the addiction of pornography if the victim is ready to make a commitment to that healing process. 

 

With the help of such experts as Dr. Victor Cline the LIGHTED CANDLE SOCIETY will recommend and provide programs created by acknowledged experts to “heal the sick” and strengthen their resolve to overcome the Goliath of Hedonism that has enslaved their lives.

 

 

 

PRAY FOR AMERICA

 

The men and women who framed and sustained the American Republic did so with an overwhelming sense of divine mission in the work that they performed and the sacrifices that they made.  The LIGHTED CANDLE SOCIETY is not a program of any specific church or religion.  We welcome to our membership all who are anxious for the survival of the Republic and are willing to sacrifice to defeat the Goliath of Hedonism created by the plague of pornography. 

 

We appeal to all Americans to humble themselves in prayer to the Almighty for divine guidance and inspiration to be upon our leaders, our educators, our ministers, and our families that “the light of truth” may continue to preserve our nation and its people.

 

WHAT WILL BE THE ULTIMATE CALAMITY

IF THE PORNOGRAPHY EPIDEMIC IS NOT STOPPED?

 

“There comes a time when the general defilement of a society becomes so great that the rising generation is put under undue pressure and cannot be said to have a fair choice between the way of light and the way of darkness.  When such a point is reached, the cup of iniquity is full, and the established order that has passed the point of no return and neither can nor will change its ways must be removed,  physically and forcibly if necessary,  from the earth, whether by war, plague, famine, or upheavals of nature.”
